Over the past few months I have done a ton of research on personal media players. I needed high capacity so the only real options were/are the iPod Classic and Zune 120. After much deliberation I went with the Zune and couldn’t be happier. As a happy new Zune owner I would very much like to be a resource for the player and software going forward. I plan to add items here slowly. If you have any suggestions on something you might like to see, let me know.
Tutorials:
Scrobble Zune hardware plays to Last.fm using Zenses: This is a screen shot tutorial that I have completed to assist in using Last.fm with the Zune. Microsoft does not allow the Zune software to have plug-ins so you have do use a different program to scrobble tracks, but it is well worth it.
Scrobble Zune software plays to Last.fm using Zuse: Much like the program above, this helps to sync the Zune with Last.fm. Instead of focusing on the hardware plays, Zuse ties into the Zune software and scrobbles songs played within the Zune software. Very useful.
Comparisons:
Fight to the Death - Applie iPod Classic (6G) vs. Zune 120: I hadn’t found a real good comparison between the two players anywhere on the net. Most comparisons are quick and gloss over certain items. I tried to be as completeas possible and I think this is the best comparisons you are going to find, if I do say so myself.
